millions and is operated by Lao World Co.,
LTD. a subsidiary of Lao World Group founded
by the well-known Sino-Thai businessman Mr.
Peter Chan. Lao World group's investments in
Lao PDR cover the agriculture, engineering ,
construction, hotel and tourism sectors. Lao
World group is know to be a prominent group
of companies working with the
Government of Lao PDR in various development
projects.
Mr. Peter CHAN, Chairman of Lao World group presents

ASEAN Tourism Forum 2004 was successfully held at
Lao-Itecc from 30 Jan-03 to 7 Feb-04, ASEAN Tourism
forum (ATF) has always been the leading
industry exhibition and convention on tourism among
the 10 ASEAN countries, namely Brunei, Cambodia,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, ATF 2004 extended
its regional coverage to include the participation
of 3 additional Asian countries: China, Japan and
R.O Korea.

The 10th ASEAN Summit was held at Lao-ITECC on
November 2004, Lao ITECC was honored to be the venue
of choice for this prominent event hosted by the
Government of Lao PDR. In addition to the 10
ASEAN countries, the ASEAN Summit welcomed 6
dialogues partners: Australia, China, Japan, R.O
Korea and New Zealand.

The 38th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) was held at
Lao ITECC in late July 2005, Following the
successful 10th ASEAN Summit in 2004, Lao ITECC
became the venue of choice for the Government of Lao
PDR to host important International conferences and
vents. With a total of 24 participating
countries, the Secretary General of ASEAN and
the European Union (EU), the 38th AMM definitely set
the record as the top rated International event held
in Lao PDR with the most participating countries
ever. The 38th AMM comprises 10 ASEAN members and
its dialogue partners namely the European Union,
Australia, Canada, India, Japan, D.P.R Korea, R.O
Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New
Quinea, Russia, Timor-Leste and the United States of
America.
